I had always seen youtubbers rave about this inexpensive bronzer, but I just was not in the mood to get disappointed. Most of them look muddy or orange on me, except the MAC one pictured below. Last week, I came across it and just decided to buy it, and I am glad I did!
Surprisingly, it looks nice on me and it doesn't make me look like an oompa loompa. lol. Here are the swatches:
NYC Bronzer in Sunny and MAC Sculpt/Highlight
Top: NYC, bottom: MAC
NYC bronzer "Sunny"
Both bronzers with flash
As you can see, the MAC one is a little orangey on me, but I only use it to contour my face (whenever I need to do that) and it works perfectly. The NYC bronzer has become my daily favorite. I use it all over the contouring parts but I just blend it in, so it looks natural. I have yet to be all orange from this one, and I so use a brush that might pick up a little too much.
I can honestly say that it beats the ELF bronzer/blush duo. That was my bronzer but this one surpasses it. I was shocked. I have spent so much on bronzers without any luck that I had given up. Little did I know this $2.72 one would be perfect.
Have you all tried this one? I was not a bronzer person at all, but with BB creams, I tend to look a little ashy, so I need to add some color back to my face :)
This looks like a great matte bronzer. I haven't heard of this one. I love bronzers, but find them so hit and miss.
ReplyDeletei have the nyc bronzer but i didnt like it at first. i think i might have to give it another chance!
ReplyDeleteI've been loving my Ulta mineral bronzer lately. Prior I had been using the Rimmel one...

Admittedly in the photos it just looks like a bruise... does the highlight go well with the sculpt, on the MAC?
