I am excited to show you a new base that is an alternative to the NYX JEP! I was never really a big user of the Jumbo pencils, but i do have a few, and I hated the fact that i could never sharpen them, so i always just melted them into pots.
Tick:Tock Cosmetics is a fairly new mineral makeup company, and they make eyeshadow and these "NYX" dupes. I got these during their Back Friday sale, at 40% off!! These retail at $4 each, which honestly, is a great price given the amount you get, so needless to say, i was beyond happy to get these for half that!
Left: Nyx Right: Tick Tock
Left: JEP Black Bean Right: Tick Tock
Left: UDPP ans Unique Pigment's "Soraya"
Middle: Tick Tock Milky way and Soraya
Right: Black Hole and Soraya
Top row: tick Tock
Bottom: NYX JEP
As far as consistency, it is more 'solid' than the JEP, so they are a little harder to blend, but nothing bad at all, perhaps this is what makes them really be long lasting, as opposed to the JEP
Also, the Milky Way is not as 'white' or opaque as nyx, its more off white on the sheer side, but, when swatched, the color did not change at all. Black Hole is not a super black oily color like nyx, rather, it is a sheer black and not a creamy greasy one; its more like a smokey grey color.
I was very impressed with these bases, or NYX dupes, as they call them. I actually use them almost daily, so thats a plus, and for $4 each? way more product and better quality than NYX :)
